UF Health
Heart & Vascular Hospital and UF Health Neuromedicine Hospital
Elevating patient care and human health
When faced with a cardiovascular or neurological diagnosis, successful outcomes often depend on the specialist devising a treatment plan around the patient. UF Health takes that treatment plan one step further. They believe that a patient should not circle around the treatment, moving from building to building to receive care. UF believes the treatment should revolve around the patient.
Wanting to create a patient experience that improves the outcome, UF Health created two adjoining hospitals for cardiovascular and neuroscience medicine in one, integrated space. Providing inpatient and outpatient care at one location, the new hospital will promote physician collaboration, efficiency, and mostly, patient convenience.
With the goal of putting the patient first, the facility offers amenities and resources for families without an institutional feel. Dedicated spaces for families include family zones in the patient room, sleep couches, and technology access. Educational resources for family care and welcoming wait spaces with views to outside gardens actively engage families with patient care and recovery.
