Making the Most of New Laboratory Space
Flad's Associate Principals Featured in Lab Manager Article
Associate Principals Chad Zuberbuhler and Cole Brunson were recently featured in Lab Manager's article, "Laboratory Consolidation: Making the Most of a New Space," to offer expertise on how to properly manage equipment and maximize budgets and space during renovation or new construction.
The article highlights how consolidation can reduce building operating costs, eliminate redundant space and equipment, and bring teams together to facilitate research and collaboration. Brunson further describes how laboratory consolidation necessitates planning for the future and accommodating for unknown variables. In consideration of the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic and potential future outbreaks of other infectious diseases, careful planning and flexibility for rapid response has never been more important. Brunson states, "By making informed decisions on future laboratory needs and by making minimal investments for future growth, clients can reduce the amount of disruption and construction costs in the future."
