The Hangar amenity building on the Healthpeak Vantage research campus was recently honored by both the IIDA Northern California Chapter and the NAIOP San Francisco Bay Chapter. Flad master planned and designed each building on the Vantage campus, including the 40,000-square-foot Hangar.
At the IIDA Northern California Honor Awards event, The Hangar was one of four finalists for the Jury's Choice award, which was selected from all submitted projects across all categories. The Hangar was also a finalist for the Play award, which includes retail and entertainment spaces. In addition, The Hangar was a finalist for the NAIOP Best of the Bay Awards' Best Amenities Package.
Located on the Vantage campus and open to the public, The Hangar offers a full-service bar/restaurant, an eclectic food hall featuring local chefs, conferencing space, a fitness center, and more. With a modern design inspired by an airplane hangar, the upscale amenities center honors South San Francisco's industrial past and its role as the birthplace of biotech.
