Flad POE Study Earns EDRA Research Excellence Honor
Flad's post occupancy evaluation (POE) research study with the UW Health Pleasant T. Rowland Transplant Clinic has earned the Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA) Certificate of Research Excellence (CORE) recognition and achieved Merit status. The study, entitled "Full Circle: Post Occupancy Evaluation of a Consolidated Transplant Clinic on Patient Experience and Staff Efficiencies," evaluated the success of a data-driven design approach to streamline care and improve the experience for patients, providers, and staff for the new transplant clinic.
EDRA CORE is a professional certification that recognizes and celebrates rigorous and innovative practice-based environmental design research studies, serving as a bridge between the design industry and the larger environmental design research community. Studies submitted for CORE recognition are selected from a double-blind review by an interdisciplinary panel of experts and evaluated based on research rigor and research impact.
Flad and the study will be celebrated at the CORE Recognition Ceremony at the upcoming annual EDRA55 conference, where Flad will also co-lead a presentation with UW Health featuring findings from the POE.
