Tradeline // Space Strategies 2023

11:10 am - 12:05 pm EDT
In-person event // Boston, Massachusetts
How can the design of an education building allow students to take more ownership over their educational success, create a sense of belonging, and form strong relationships among faculty, staff, and students? Flad principal Ben de Rubertis will be joined by Jeff Seegmiller, University of Idaho's Director of the WWAMI Medical Education Program, to explore the post occupancy evaluation results of a recently completed adaptive reuse project.
Their presentation will demonstrate how qualitative and quantitative data can reveal ways that the utilization and effectiveness of space supports learning and occupant wellness and how the pandemic impacted the use of the building. They will also detail important considerations for designing and managing flexible, multi-purpose spaces.
