Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Venice has been selected as an honorable mention for the 2023 Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) for architectural design in the category of Healthcare/Wellness.
Flad master planned and designed the new, greenfield hospital campus, which brings top-ranked medical and emergency services to the rapidly growing population just south of Sarasota. The hospital opened in late 2021, and the first expansion is already well underway with a five-story bed tower scheduled to open in the summer of 2024.
AMP is a leading international architectural and design award, trusted by expert circles and industry leaders. Winners were selected among thousands of entrants from over 80 countries by a jury of designers, architects, curators, and academics.
