The NCHEA 2020 Spring Seminar connects leaders in healthcare facility management and offers educational opportunities focused on future trends and challenges in healthcare. As part of this year's educational sessions, Flad's Greg Meyer and Ramon Moll will address code requirements for door openings often encountered in healthcare facilities. Areas covered will be fire-rated, smoke-barrier, and corridor doors, with emphasis given to security, hurricane resistance, sound control, and accessibility. The presentation will identify key areas of consideration during the planning process and a methodology for capturing and integrating door requirements into the overall design.
