Flad's healthcare practice rose to No. 16 on Modern Healthcare's annual list of Top Architecture Firms, based on total construction costs of healthcare projects completed in 2023.
Flad works with community hospitals, healthcare systems, academic medical centers, and physician practices to embrace innovation, address integrated care delivery, create operational efficiencies, accommodate future adaptability, and support patient-focused care with evidence-based design.
Over the past year, Flad has won numerous awards for healthcare projects. Included on the list of recent honors are two international awards for Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Venice. In addition, the UW Health Pleasant T. Rowland Transplant Clinic earned the top award in Healthcare Design Magazine's Remodel/Renovation Competition and Flad's post occupancy evaluation of the clinic earned an Environmental Design Research Association Certificate of Research Excellence Merit recognition.
