Henry Kosarzycki Appointed to AIA National Codes and Standards Committee
Flad Code Architect Henry Kosarzycki has been appointed to the AIA National Codes and Standards Committee. His two-year term will begin Jan. 1, 2025. Henry was also a member of the committee from 2005–2015 and served as chair from 2007-2009 and again from 2012-2014. He will bring to the committee his 37-plus years of architectural code experience in both the public and private sectors.
Henry is an original member of the International Code Council Committee on Healthcare and continues to serve on the committee. He has also served on several International Code Council work groups and initiatives, including the International Green Construction Code. In addition, Henry served and chaired the National Institute of Building Sciences National Council on Building Codes and Standards.
As part of the original International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security team that authored the Security Design and Renovation Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities, he is part of the task force that reviewed and updated the current fourth edition. He also currently serves on the AIA Wisconsin Codes and Standards Committee.
