Flad Experts and Clemson College of Veterinary Medicine Featured in Lab Design News

Flad's design of the Clemson College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) is featured in a recent Lab Design News article. Flad is leading overall design of the project as well as planning and design of all laboratory and office research spaces in collaboration with architect of record LS3P and veterinary medicine planner Foil Wyatt.

In the story, Principal Chuck Mummert describes the design decisions that went into the campus' six unique buildings as well as their integration with the adjacent Clemson Experimental Forest.

The CVM will be the first veterinary college in South Carolina, helping to address a state shortage of veterinarians. Principal Rachel Nelan discusses the lab planning challenges and opportunities presented by a new veterinary medicine college.

Clemson officially broke ground on the CVM campus in November 2024. It will welcome its first class of students in the fall of 2026.
