The AHCA Design and Construction Seminar, being held in conjunction with the 57th annual FHEA Meeting & Trade Show, addresses the theme, "Expanding the Horizons of Healthcare." For the Architecture/Fire Safety Session, Flad's Greg Meyer and Ramon Moll will address code requirements for door openings often encountered in healthcare facilities. Areas covered will be fire-rated, smoke-barrier, and corridor doors, with emphasis given to security, hurricane resistance, sound control, and accessibility. The presentation will identify key areas of consideration during the planning process and a methodology for capturing and integrating door requirements into the overall design.
